Straighten crooked teeth and close unsightly gaps with a range of orthodontic treatments.

Teeth straightening is one of the most common cosmetic dentistry treatments we carry out today.

Aligning teeth with Orthodontic braces isn’t just for children. Many adult patients visit us to close unsightly gaps and straighten crooked teeth. Orthodontic treatment has advanced to offer you a range of treatments that are hard to spot, meaning friends, family and colleagues won’t know you’re wearing a brace.

Teeth straightening treatments

We provide the following teeth straightening treatments to help to put the confidence back in your smile.

Invisalign is a popular teeth straightening procedure and is a more aesthetically pleasing alternative to the common fixed brace.

The procedure involves fitting clear, near invisible aligners to the teeth which are changed every two weeks until the teeth are realigned. They are easy to clean and are a discreet solution for adults who want to improve their appearance without the need for a traditional brace.

Inman Aligner

An Inman Aligner is a removable appliance designed to treat misaligned front and top bottom teeth caused by common issues such as crowding and cross-bites.

The Inman Aligner is worn for around 20 hours a day and works by creating a small amount of pressure which gently moves your teeth into the desired position, making it an effective method of teeth straightening, often with quick results.

Clear Smile (aligners and brace)

With this procedure, the use of tooth coloured or clear brackets to attach the braces to the teeth makes it a discreet alternative to the traditional fixed metal braces but gives the same great results.

As with most teeth straightening procedures, this procedure will involve regular orthodontic appointments, usually every 6 weeks to check progress and adjust the braces accordingly.

A dental veneer is a layer of material, usually composite or porcelain which is placed over the tooth. Veneers are sometimes used to protect the tooth’s surface from damage but they are mainly used to improve the aesthetics of a smile, giving the appearance of straight teeth.

They are particularly beneficial for the treatment of chipped enamel or misaligned teeth and can transform your smile in just 2 appointments.

Benefits of teeth straightening

  • Will give you the confidence to smile without feeling self conscious about your teeth
  • A range of options are available which offer more discreet alternatives to the traditional fixed brace
  • Your overall oral health will be improved as straightened teeth are easier to clean

What is the best option for me?

There are many options available but your dentist will examine your teeth and create a bespoke solution to suit your requirements. It’s important to note that not every treatment will be suitable for you.

How long does the procedure take?

Treatment can be as quick as 3 months but may extend beyond 1 year. The exact amount of time will vary from patient-to-patient and will depend on the treatment you’re having. Your dentist will advise you during your straightening consultation.

“I have a patient for many years of Andrew Tomalin for many years and really appreciate his thoughtfulness and care when I see him. I was a very nervous patient plus I have a phobia of needles but Andrew is so good at keeping me at ease I hardly feel them.”
